Hellmann Worldwide Logistics

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is a global logistics provider established in Germany in 1871. Today this family owned company has 341 offices in 134 countries. Hellmann established its Australian presence in 1987 and has since grown to a network of six offices with 40,000 sq. m of warehouses and nationwide Perishable Logistics capability.

To assist in the efficient management of their warehousing facilities, Hellmann purchased LSI’s second generation warehouse management system - MasterStore in 1997. MasterStore was chosen for it’s strong 3PL management features and compliance with Australia’s major retail outlets The Coles Group and Woolworths. Based on the successful implementation, growth and support of LSI’s technology over 12 years, Hellmann have decided to upgrade to LSI’s Microsoft based (.NET / SQL) warehouse management system – iSupply.

Major factors influencing Hellmann's decision to upgrade included:

  • Browser based web portal, providing clients with real-time access to the status of their supply chain operations
  • Enhanced client integration capabilities through iSupply’s eCommerce Control System
  • Electronic trading and compliance with major Australian retailers and 3rd party transport providers
  • User-friendly Windows environment

iSupply is to be deployed nationally into warehouses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. The initial deployment will be into Sydney which includes utilising radio frequency scanners. Functionality included are batch and serial number tracking, compliance with all Australian retailers, compliance with all Australian transport providers and a state-of-the-art warehouse charges and freight cost and charge rating system
